TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE AT THE COMPLETION OF THIS BLOCK OF INSTRUCTION THE STUDENT WILL: ACTION: ADMINISTER THE UNIT ATP CONDITION: AS A COMPANY COMMANDER, STANDARDIZATION OFFICER, EVALUATOR OR UNIT TRAINER ASSIGNED TO A CBT AVN UNIT. STANDARD: IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) TC 1-210, AR 95-1, AR 600-105, AR 600-106, FM 25-100, FM 25-101, AND THE APPROPRIATE AIRCREW TRAINING MANUAL (ATM).

  6. PURPOSE OF ATP • DEVELOP AND TRAIN COMBAT READY CREWS AS INTEGRAL MEMBERS OF COMBINED ARMS TEAM • PROVIDE SAFE, STANDARDIZED AND REALISTIC TRAINING

(AR 95-1 para. 2-8a.) • COMMANDER’S EVALUATION • RECORDS REVIEW AND / OR FLIGHT EVALUATION. • COMPLETED WITHIN 45 DAYS OF SIGN IN OR AFTER EFFECTIVE DATE OF FLIGHT STATUS ORDERS WHICHEVER OCCURS LAST. (TC 1-210 para. 2-4)

  39. FLIGHT ACTIVITY CATEGORIES • UNIT COMMANDERS DESIGNATE FAC POSITION BASED ON TOE OR TDA PROFICIENCY REQUIRED FOR THAT POSITION. (TC 1-210 para. 2-2 & 3-2a) • COMMANDERS WILL NOT CHANGE FAC LEVELS MERELY TO REDUCE INDIVIDUAL OR UNIT FLYING-HOUR REQUIREMENTS. (TC 1-210 para. 2-3) • NOTE: FAC LEVELS DO NOT APPLY TO DAC’s OR NCM’s (TC 1-210 para. 2-3 NOTE)

  40. FLIGHT ACTIVITY CATEGORIES • FAC 1- DUTY POSITION REQUIRE HIGH DEGREE OF TACTICAL PROFICIENCY • FAC 2 - DUTY POSITION REQUIRES LESS TACTICAL PROFICIENCY THAN FAC 1. ( IE: XO, MO, STAFF OFFICERS AT BATTALION OR HIGHER.) • FAC 3- DUTY POSITION BASED ON METL REQUIREMENTS.

FLIGHT ACTIVITY CATEGORIES • FAC 3 - REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: • QUALIFIED BUT WILL NOT PERFORM DUTIES IN ARMY AIRCRAFT • MUST MAINTAIN SIMULATOR FLYING HOUR MINIMUMS PER ATM IN A COMPATIBLE FLIGHT SIMULATOR (TC 1-210 para. 2-3c) • HOURS MAY BE PRORATED WHEN: • NEWLY ASSIGNED FAC 3 • PRIMARY ACFT REDESIGNATED • DUTY POSITION CHANGES FAC LEVEL (TC 1-210 para. 3-6d(1))

  42. FLIGHT ACTIVITY CATEGORIES • MUST DEMONSTRATE PROFICIENCY IN ALL INSTRUMENT TASKS TO AN IE WITHIN 90 DAYS OF DESIGNATION TO FAC 3 IF NOT DONE WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. (AH-1 & AH-64 MAY BE DONE IN ACFT BY AN IP OR SP). (TC 1-210 para. 2-3c(2)) • SIMULATOR REQUIREMENTS FOR FAC 3 AVIATORS MAY NOT BE WAIVED . (TC 1-210 para. 2-3c), (AR95-1 para. 4-11e)
