  2. What is Running Start? • Dual credit opportunity • Take college classes on WSU TC campus • Credits count towards high school requirements and college degree • 15 credits per semester, tuition-free • May attend part-time or full-time tricities.wsu.edu/running-start

  3. tricities.wsu.edu/running-start • Small, diverse campus community, allows students a smooth transition into college • Students have a designated WSU academic advisor • Academic support throughout the year, including free tutoring and writing center • Students are able to take prerequisite courses towards a degree interest or take general course requirements, if undecided

  4. Things to Consider • The academic calendar is different than the high school schedule, including alternate spring break schedules • College courses are rigorous and require substantial time outside class to be successful • WSU transcripts are permanent academic records • Independent learning environment requires students to be self-motivated and manage their time effectively
