  3. Origins The Flag of Panama was designed for Manuel E. Amador and made by Maria Ossa de Amador, in 1903.

  4. ImportantDetailsabouttheFlag of Panama • The design of the flag reflected the political situation that was happening in Panama at that time. Each section of the flag has a special meaning. For instance, blue represented the Conservative Party while the red represented the Liberal Party. The white sections of the flag stand for both purity and peace. • The two stars combined stood for the new republic while individually they both have a special meaning of their own. The five pointed blue star stands for the purity and honesty - expected for the life of the country, while the five pointed red star stands for the Panama's authority and law.

  7. “TUNAS”, “MURGAS” AND “CULECOS” • All the people across the country is mobilized within the country to watch parades of floats and bands that accompany them (the "Tunas" and the "Murgas"), water and more water during the day (the "Culecos").

  8. CARNIVAL IN PANAMA • Carnival in Panama is a great and funny experience. From Friday through Tuesday.

  9. Carnival in Las Tablas • The most famous and rich is the town of Las Tablas, where are moments when the event comes to a climax when the Queens parade with their beautiful costumes saluting participants while the songs and the traditional typical music of the tunas play along.

  10. MAJESTY AND CREATIVITY • Beautiful Queens, live music, slogans, fine clothes, changing floats decorated differently in the morning, at night and in the four days of the carnival, each boasting of great majesty and creativity.
