  4. Constructing the Bud Vase • Add properly measured floral preservative • Fill vase with water 1 ½ to 2 inches from the top. • Using proper proportion the height of the flowers and foliage should be 1 ½ to 2 times the height of the vase

  5. Remove Foliage From Stems • Remove all foliage on flower stems below water level in the vase

  6. Add Foliage and Flowers • Add Larkspur and Honey Bracelet • Using theses line flowers and foliage will help determine the height the flowers should be in proportion with the vase

  7. Add Foliage and Flowers • Add Mass flowers at different heights • Matsumoto asters are a mass flower and considered the focal point in the bud vase

  8. Add Filler Flower • Fill in the gaps between flowers

  9. Add Galax Leaves • Add collar of galax leaves around the rim of the vase
