1. Mondays editing workshop with matt On Monday we had an editing workshop with Matt in the edit suite. We used the footage we filmed in the previous camera workshop and we used premier pro to put it together. •Premier pro can be used by anybody whether than be people who have never edited before all the way to the film Dead Pool •This shows that it’s easy enough to use but has lots of potential once you learn the basic steps. Matt explained to us how the computers in the edit suite are just solely for editing, so where not allowed to access the internet. We proceeded to listen to matt and watch the big screen, where we learnt key words such as; •Rushes – names the footage •Bins – folder for footage •Arrows on where to click – be very specific We then got into groups and worked on are individual footage; •We checked the footage •Logged aside the footage we wanted to use •Make a bin to place the footage •Duplicate and copy and paste the footage into a new bin •Rename the footage We learnt some new techniques such as; •Dragging footage to the timeline •Cut in motion •Pressing ‘I’ for in and it cuts the footage This information meant we would be prepared for editing are opening sequence next term. I found this workshop very useful as I haven’t used premier pro software before.
