  1. Is My Blood Flow Normal? Have you ever wondered if your blood flow is normal or heavy? If you have heavy blood flow, at some point it may be due to normal hormonal variation, which is not a matter of concern. But if your blood flow is consistently heavy in all months, then you have menorrhagia. Menorrhagia is a condition in which your flow is so heavy that you’ll need to change your tampon or sanitary pad every hour for at least an entire day. Menorrhagia can prevent you from continuing your normal activities during your periods because of too much blood loss and menstrual cramps.

  2. If You Have Menorrhagia, There Are Certain Things That You Should Remember: About 30 ml to 80 ml of blood loss every period is considered normal; anything more than that is considered heavy flow. Different birth control methods might affect the heaviness of your period. It could be caused by an underlying condition. Menstruators Who Have Menorrhagia Might Have To Face Many Problems, Such As: Changing heavy-flow pads or tampons at least once every two hours or so is recommended. Dealing with very painful menstrual cramps Bleeding in between periods, which is more than spotting. Bleeding for 7 days straight or more. These are some common symptoms every menstruator with menorrhagia might have to face, along with some other symptoms. Menorrhagia can be caused by various underlying issues, which include hormonal fluctuation, polycystic ovary syndrome, UTIs, and taking medications such as birth control pills. Uterine cancer or cervical cancer can also cause excessive bleeding in menstruators. If menorrhagia is caused by some underlying condition, that particular condition will have to be treated. In extreme cases, hysteroscopy is performed, during which the uterus has to be removed. If you are diagnosed with menorrhagia, you should carry sanitary pads for heavy flow with you at all times. Regular flow pads might not be very helpful, and you would need to change them more often. You can also try cloth sanitary pads so that you don't have to buy too many sanitary pads.
