  1. The Grinch Who Stole ChristmasBy: Andrew Totheroh, Jarek Hollingsworth, Andre Lee, and Jamie Jones

  2. Summary • The Grinch Stole Christmas

  3. Message of the book • The book was written to share that Christmas isn’t about “packages, boxes, or bags,” but more about spending time with family and loved ones. • The message for adults would be that it isn’t about how many presents you can buy your family, or how much money you can make in one year. Christmas time is about spending your own personal time with the ones that you love, and enjoying the Christmas Spirit.

  4. The Problems • People now-a-days worry about shopping, and finding the perfect gift for that special someone. The problem would be that the real meaning of Christmas is hidden under all the material objects. • Another problem would be that less fortunate children don’t always receive gifts around the Christmas season, because either their families cannot afford them, or they don’t have a family.

  5. Solution • We are never going to be able to solve the first problem based on the facts that gifts are apart of Christmas time. What we could do in order to help the situation out a little is teach young children that Christmas isn’t about the gifts we receive. • In order to help out less fortunate children, there are many organizations out there today that need help in order to give these children a better Christmas.

  6. Organizations • Angel Tree-Prison fellowship • Operation Christmas Child-Shoe Box Gifts • Make-a-wish Foundation • Toys for Tots • My Two Front Teeth-Online gift giving
