  2. Megan Mealie, an education professional, is a graduate student at Capella University. She is working on a Doctor of Educational Leadership and Management. Throughout her career, she has been a special education teacher, an assistant superintendent, a junior high school principal, and an assistant principal. She is passionate about education and assists students to prosper educationally to build their future. There are several reasons for education professional to earn an advanced degree

  3. If you are employed in education, you may consider returning to a university to obtain further schooling/. A higher educational degree can provide additional employment opportunities. Earning a master’s degree or a doctorate, can climb the educational ladder to higher positions such as administration with the proper degree. An advanced degree that is university and state approved can help you work your way up to a central administrative positive such as assistant superintendent or a district superintendent in time

  4. Another reason to continue your education is to improve your own knowledge within your profession and stay abreast of current trends and research. Additional training can aid you become a healthier education professional. You may be able to make more of an influence on your school system if you have a comprehensive range of knowledge and abilities.

  5. A third reason to enroll in higher education courses is to change pursue a different career path if you are not satisfied. If you are a teacher and want to work in another aspect of education, you may need to go back to school to obtain another degree. A higher education degree is essential and the first step to working in educational leadership or management. Megan Mealie has numerous degrees higher education and has served in multiple roles gaining expertise. She is passionate about guiding student to flourish, providing top-notch programs, and an inclusive school system.

  6. She has earned a Superintendents Recognition Award as well as a School Board’s Administrators Award. Megan Mealie is dedicated to nurturing professional relationships in a well-balanced instructional system, with quality educational programs, and environments that validate the individual educational needs of all students.
