  2. Petko Rachov Slaveikov’s home Here on the 17th November 1827 was born the national poet and socially active educator PetkoRachovSlaveikov.

  3. The successful years of PetkoSlaveikov • He was the head of the National Meeting and a Minister. He was one of the leaders of the Liberal Campaign.

  4. The Education of Petko Slaveikov • Slaveikov studies in Veliko Tarnovo, Dryanovo, Tryavna and the Preobrajenie Monastery. He reads a lot in the libraries in the monasteries around V. Tarnovo. Later on he studies Greek in Svishtov.

  6. PetkoSlaveikov’s Job In 1843 he became a teacher in V. Tarnovo. From 1844 to 1864 Slaveikov worked as a teacher, again, in Tryavna, Vidin, Vraca, Pleven, Berkovica, Lyaskovec, Byala and Elena.

  7. His publishes in Istanbul • From 1863 until 1874 he published a lot of newspapers and magazines. Examples of those are the newspapers ‘’Gaida’’, ’’Macedondia’’ and ‘’Shutosh’’; magazines ‘’Rujitsa’’, ‘’Pchelitsa’’ and ‘’Chitalishte’’.
