  3. James Braid Trails • 6 James Braid trails in Scotland with 5 to 7 golf clubs in each trail • Course leader of the Driving Change programme suggested North Wales should develop a trail • Not another cluster but a new innovation

The Birth of the Trail • Project initiated by Ginny James Maesdu and Mike Bryant St Deiniol • November 2011 met 10 clubs with links to James Braid • Aim low cost marketing • Collated club information via email including a feature hole • February met with Golf North Wales and Visit Wales then Gwynedd Tourism seeking support for publicity

  5. The James Braid Features • Complete variety of holes both in length and character. Two methods to play a hole. A simple one and a difficult one. • Used natural terrain and features including gorse and rocky outcrops • Putting greens well guarded by bunkers and slopes • Variety of par 3’s differing in direction and length

  20. Cost to clubs • All this at no initial cost to the 10 clubs • First two years the main marketing package is being fully sponsored by Gwynedd • Each club will promote the trail on their club website and in Pros shop
