Developing authentic online test tasks for oral intercultural professional communication in CEFcult Jan Van Maele, Lut Baten & Lutgart Dusar • The aims of the CEFcultproject are • to develop an online environment for the assessment of oral proficiency for intercultural professional communication. • to promote a multilingual workforce by targeting (future) employees, language teachers, and in-company trainers (Europe 2020). • Currently, the CEFcult consortium is defining the various components of the web-based environment in view of the upcoming pilots. • the selection of rating scales, • the definition of tasks that require the activation of both language and intercultural competences, and • the web 2.0 user interface of the assessment environment. • We’ve been wondering… Well, let me tell you… Attach your post-it here. Thank you! This poster was first presented at the 32nd Language Testing Research Colloquium that was held at the University of Cambridge from 14 to 16 April 2010. The CEFcult project (2009-2011) is financed under KA2 of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission.K.U.Leuven (AVNet, Leuven Language Institute) is the project coordinator of CEFcult. The project consortium also includes the following partners: Euneos Oy, Fontys Hogescholen (Lerarenopleiding Tilburg), Group T (Leuven Engineering College), Helsingin Yliopisto (DASE), Jyväskylän Yliopisto (CALS), Open Universiteit Nederland (Centre for Learning Sciences and Technology), Open University (Knowledge Media Institute), Technische Universität Dresden (Lehrzentrum Sprachen und Kulturen), Università di Bologna (CILTA), Université de Savoie (LLS), and Uniwersytet Lódzki (Department of English Language).
