  2. ILLiad • Model, implemented in software, of the interlibrary loan process • Developed in ILL department at Virginia Tech • Created as a result of ILL staff review • Result encompasses every action of ILL process • Enhances customer service while reducing costs and workload

  3. Access • Any page on Clarion’s website (www.clarion.edu) • “Library”—top, right-hand, corner menu • “ILLiad” from “Library Services” • OR • Go to www.clarion.edu/395 • Select “ILLiad” from “Library Services” • One can also link to Illiad through databases and Worldcat

  4. First-time Login Enter your iClarionusername and password.

  5. Clarion id • Log in to MyClarion • Username • Password • Select “Student Center” • “Demographic Data” • Under “Personal Information” Demographic Data

  6. ID Clarion ID should be listed first

  7. Clarion Username • Username • MyClarion username is s_ followed by first initial, middle initial (if provided to Clarion upon registration), and last name (up to 12 characters) • Username and initial password is mailed to student upon enrollment at Clarion

  8. Personal Information Fill out the required (*) information.

  9. Why illiad? • Useful when in need of an article, book, or other material • Unable to obtain from local source • Complete the online request form • Material will be sent electronically or through the mail

  10. Request through a Database This link will take you to the Illiad log in page

  11. Online request form Fill in all required (*) areas. Complete other areas, if that information is known.

  12. ILLIAD MATERIALS Many types of resources

  13. NEW REQUESTS • “New Request”—left-hand menu • Select type of material • Fill in all required (*) fields • Click “Submit Request”

  15. Received items • An e-mail should be received, if the material is found • Articles will be available in account • “Electronically Received Articles”

  16. Viewing items Click “Electronically Received Articles”

  17. Viewing items continued Click “View.” Articles will be displayed in PDF format.

  18. Outstanding requests • “Outstanding Requests” • Items yet to be received • “Status” • What the status is of the request

  19. Edit or cancel requests • To view or change a request—click on transaction number on “Outstanding Requests” page • Click “Edit Request” or “Cancel Request”
