  2. Key Ingredients Gymnema sylvestreis standardized for gymnemic acid content and has been shown to enhance pancreatic beta cell activity and reproduction. The result is improved endogenous insulin output. Chromium, vanadium and biotin have been shown to have insulin-like effects on glucose metabolism. Fenugreek seed and bitter melon extract have been shown to reduce elevated serum glucose levels. Cinnamon extract may help improve the cellular insulin response. Alpha R-lipoic acid improves insulin resistance in NIDDM patient by favorably influencing GLUT1 and GLUT4. Inositol helps with glycogen utilization, fat metabolism, and oxidative phosphorylation.
