  2. Overview (Obstetrics) Obstetricians are specialists whose focus is women’s health. They provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system. They also specialize in childbirth, treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses to delivery and postpartum care.

  3. Roles & Responsibilities (Obstetrics) • Closely monitors their patient's health during pregnancy and delivery • Diagnose fetus abnormalities or health issues of their patient and offer healthy living advice and treatment • Health consultations, ultrasounds and any of their patient's prenatal medical needs including forming a birth plan

  4. Overview (Pediatrics) Pediatricians focus on the physical, emotional, and social health of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. They specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of illnesses specific to young people and track their patients’ (infants, children, teenagers) growth to adulthood.

Roles & Responsibilities (Pediatrics) • Diagnose and treat infections, injuries, and many types of organic disease and dysfunction • Work to reduce infant and child mortality, foster healthy lifestyles, and ease the day-to-day difficulties of those with chronic conditions • Identify and address developmental and behavioral problems
