  2. Paris, France • Since as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of going to Paris. • What girl doesn’t want to be swept off her feet and taken on a romantic getaway here? • So if there was one place I could go, this would be my choice.

  3. Where is Paris? • Paris is located on the Seine River in north-central France. • It is one of Europe’s largest Metropolitan areas • It lies in a bowl-shaped, low-lying basin • It is divided into 20 districts • Paris is at an altitude of 30 meters above sea level, and is completely flat. • Nearby cities/towns are La Villete, Les Batignolles, Grenelle, Saint-Ouen and Saint-Merri.

  4. Paris is divided into 20 districts called arrondissements, they’re numbered one through twenty. They spiral around in a clockwise direction starting with the first one in the center of the city.

  5. Beautiful and inspiring

  6. Interesting facts about paris • It has not only been called “one of the most beautiful cities in the world,” but also “the city of lights,” and the “capital of the arts,” just to name a few. • Paris is famous for it’s cultural wealth and fascinating history. • The city’s monuments, museums, buildings and libraries all revolve around its age-long history. • The city is famous for its poets, writers and artists.

  7. the weather in paris is rather nice all year round. The coldest month is January and the hottest is August.

  8. Places that I want to see • The Louvre Museum • Eiffel Tower • Arc de Triomphe • The Cathedral of the Notre Dame de Paris • Sacre Coeur

  9. The Louvre Museum The Louvre Museum is one of the greatest museums in the world. It’s over 800 years old and was formerly a palace to the Kings of France. It was opened as a public museum at the end of the 18th century. Some of the museums favorite works of art are the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo.

  10. The Eiffel Tower Is the tallest structure in Paris, its 324m high and weighs 7300 tons. An interesting fact is that it is repainted every 7 years to avoid rusting and it takes 6 tons of paint to complete the task!

  11. Arc De Triomphe This monument honors those who fought for France during the Napoleonic Wars. It was designed to represent peace.

  12. THE CATHedral of notre dame de Paris It was begun in 1163 and took over 200 years to complete! It is known as one of the greatest gothic cathedrals of the world.

  13. Sacre Coeur The Sacre Coeur Basilica was completed in the early 19th century and is a place of worship. It is dedicated to the “Sacred Heart of Jesus”.

  14. Dream These are just a few of the things that I would love to see in Paris.I would like to experience this beautiful city not just through pictures or books, but by visiting and being a part of it. My hope is that one day I will get to do that. Until then I can always dream. 
