  2. LIEE Quarterly Public Meetings • Contractors and IOUs: Meetings have not been productive in identifying LIEE technical issues or proposing solutions. • Recommendation: Hold working meetings, scheduled as needed, between the regularly scheduled quarterly meetings. Meetings would be hosted by the utilities with facilitation/moderation provided by utility consultants. September 22, 2010 LIOB Meeting

  3. LIEE Quarterly Public Meetings • Working Meetings would focus on three subjects: • LIEE Policy & Procedures Manual • Installations Standards Manual • Identifying, quantifying and developing solutions for LIEE problems in the field. September 22, 2010 LIOB Meeting

  4. LIEE Quarterly Public Meetings: Working Meeting Guidelines • Within the working meetings, the participants will seek consensus and then present any recommendations for public comment at the following quarterly meetings. • The working group will consider public comment and make final recommendations to the quarterly meeting participants. • Commission staff will advise which recommendations require Commission approval vs. notification. • Working meetings are not a new committee or group. • Attendance is open to all with notice of meetings provided to the service list. September 22, 2010 LIOB Meeting

  5. LIEE Quarterly Public Meetings: Working Meeting Benefits • Provide an opportunity for all stakeholders to work together to create consensus for solutions to technical problems in the LIEE program. • By developing solutions prior to the quarterly meetings and then reaching consensus during the quarterly meetings, the quarterly meetings become more effective and productive, thus making the LIEE program more effective and efficient.
