  13. Kohl’s Cares for Kids: Kohl’s Cares will distribute $500,000 to 20 schools Applications can be received from 7/7/2010 – 9/3/2010 Contest open to: Non-Profit youth serving programs focused on children’s health and education Grades K-12

Kohl’s Cares for Kids: Steps to apply: Become a Fan of Kohl’s Facebook Page Fill out application Essay 200 words or less Explaining what your school would like to do with the money Can include short 1.5 min video and jpegs How we can win: Voting based: You must be a fan of Kohl’s Cares to Vote Each fan receives 20 total votes There is a 5 vote max per school, per fan The 20 schools with the most votes win!

US Cellular “Calling All Teachers”: US Cellular is giving away $1 million to public school teachers who want to “make brilliant classroom projects a reality.” Applications can be submitted through www.donorschoose.com Applications must be received between 8/1/10 and 9/15/10 A teacher must register as a “US Cellular Teacher” online Visit donorschoose.org/teacher to post project This is not voter based. US Cellular will pick classroom project winners!
