Definition • System Monitoring & Inventory is a web-based windows server and desktop management software that helps in managing thousands of servers/desktops from a central location. • The administrator can easily manage desktops in any windows networks like Active Directory, Workgroup, or other directory services.

  5. Problem Definition • In oldest system, the network administrator of the organization are insert the client data manually into the server. • The network administrator of the organization can’t monitor the client’s system. It can’t analyze the hardware configuration of the client’s system • The network administrator can’t analyze that which kind of software are used frequently and when the license of the software are expires and also when updation and upgradation is required for software in client’s system. • The network administrator don’t know the how much CPU usage of specific client and which processes of client’s system is not required is monitored by the network administrator. • The network administrator can’t shutdown the client’s system remotely and also terminates the process if it’s restricted.

Objectives • We are making the system in which the system monitoring and system inventory is done. • The network administrator monitors the client’s system and how much client’s system use the CPU. • In our system the network administrator explore the any client’s system and network administrator restrict the process. • The network administrator can get the reports of the CPU usage and also for the particular requirement of network administrator.

  9. Users • Client:- A Client can register the their machine to the server. • Network Administrator:- It manage the all the information of a Client system like Software, Hardware, Process ,etc and create alerts of system or generate report of client System

Hardware:- HDD,RAM, Port Info , USB Plugins, Processor, Motherboard, BIOS, Sound, Card, Modem, Graphics card. • Software:- • Application software:- Software Name, Install Date, Expire date, Update status, License,Primaryrequirement of hardware. • System software:- Operating system Details, License date, Update, Patches Info, Inbuilt software list. • Process:- CPU usage, Memory usage, Virtual Memory usage, Process ID, Name, System or User, Network Usage.

Require Configuration • Client Configuration:- Intel Pentium III or equivalent with ,128 MB RAM, 200 - MB of free space in harddisk, Lan, Internet Connection. • Server Configuration:- Windows Server Operating System, 1GB RAM, 1GB free- space on harddisk, Lan, Internet Connection, MySequel(Database Install).
