  17. THE NEW CORE STANDARDS • This will be positive and covers numerous concepts I have taught for several years. • I served on the committees to help develop the common district assessments (CDA). • ALL PRE IB STUDENTS WILL BE TAKING THE SAME EOCT • Core Standards have been adopted in 46 states.

  18. What is a CDA? • Stands for Common District Assessment • Every Douglas County student enrolled in a high school math class will take the same exact test for that class (IE all Coordinate Algebra take the same unit tests). • These are entered in the grade book and cannot be curved. • They were designed by teachers in the county.

  19. What is an EOCT? • Stands for End of Course Test (the high school version of the CRCT). • It is designed by the state and the procedures are identical to CRCT. • This time it will be 20% of your students final average. This cannot be changed in any way. • Students must past a math EOCT to graduate high school.
