  3. What is Blue Sky Involve? • EMPLOYEE-DRIVEN program supporting employee volunteer efforts that are aligned with either: • Environmental sustainability or • Leadership development for employees Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve

How does Blue Sky Involve work? • Blue Sky Involve teams at our global locations link with local organizations that support environmental sustainability and/or leadership development • Johnson Controls funds USD$1,000 per location to support these partnerships • Each partnership includes an employee volunteer component (must have minimum of 3 employees involved in a project) Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve

Approved project • If application is approved, applicant will be notified via email and project can begin • $1000 grant payment will be sent either via check or wire transfer to partner organization • Complete project by Dec. 15, 2008 • Upon completion, project summary should be documented by project leader Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve

Results from employee volunteer projects 2006 & 2007 2006 2007 In its first year: • Approximately 150 locations worldwide • 33 countries • 5,000 employees • 45,000 hours volunteered • $150,000 donated • DOUBLED first year’s participation: • > 300 locations • 7,300 employees • 75,000 hours volunteered • $300,000 donated x2 7 • DOUBLED first year’s participation: • > 300 locations • 7,300 employees • 75,000 hours volunteered Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve

  8. 2008 employee volunteer project goal 2008 Increase participation level to: • > 500 locations (that means 200 more locations around the world compared to 2007!) • > 10,000 employees • > 100,000 volunteer hours • $500,000 in donations Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve

Why do it? • Build awareness and appreciation of the Blue Sky Involve program’s commitment to two corporate priorities: • Protecting the environment • Developing people • Extend employees’ core business skills beyond the factory and office through volunteerism in the communities where we live and work Johnson Controls Blue Sky Involve
