  1. Discovering the Heart of God Part 23 True & Faithful

  2. God Makes All Things New! We celebrate the beginning of a new year. Many have made resolutions and goals of what they hope to accomplish this year. We have come to think of a new year as a fresh start and a new beginning. There are times where we all need a fresh start! We need something NEW!

  3. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:1-5Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

  4. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” These verses are at the end of God’s revelation. Man and Satan’s forces have done their worst to God’s people and Creation. God has poured out His wrath, judged evil and is beginning a NEW creation.

  5. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” One should ask why God would state that He makes all things new and then have John write that “these words are true and faithful”?

  6. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” The words are true and faithful because God is true and faithful. Everything He says He will do will be accomplished. These verses encourage us that God is able and will restore that which we have destroyed though our sin!

  7. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” The impact of our sin had contaminated the universe so God will fold this one up and recreate a NEW heaven and earth. This is not speaking of God’s abode, but the created heaven. All impact of our sin will be erased!

  8. God Makes All Things New! Revelation 21:5Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” This promise of re-creation is future, but God is making many things new in the present.

  9. New Covenant 2 Corinthians 3:6Who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. In the Old Testament, believers lived under the law. The law did not save, but taught the need of a savior. Jesus ushered in the New Covenant through His blood. We can now live our lives in the freedom of the Spirit.

  10. New Life Romans 6:4Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Our old lives were under the bondage of sin and the curse of death. Jesus did not die so we could continue in our old lives, but to give us a new one. He took our death and united us together in Him.

  11. New Creatures 2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. The believer is no longer the person he was, he is a new creature. We should no longer live for the things that are passing away. We now find our souls anchored in the things of Christ. He has blotted out our sin and made us new creatures in Christ.

  12. New Spirit Romans 7:6But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. We are no longer bound by the restrictions of the Law. This is not to say God has changed His stand on sin, but that we are free to serve and treat others as the Spirit leads us.

  13. New Commandment John 13:34A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. The Spirit leads us to live according to the new commandment that we are to love one another just as Jesus has loved us. How has Jesus loved you? You are to love others the same way.

  14. New Man Ephesians 4:24And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. This passage stated that we are to take off the “old man” and to put on the New. This new man was created by God in true righteousness and holiness. We are able to live and be the people that God created us to be. We have a new direction, we can live as Christ lived.

  15. New Future Revelation 14:3They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. The believer has a new future. We will be able to sing a new song that only the redeemed can fully understand. We who were under the curse of death are allowed to enter into a future without pain, death, and suffering. We have a hope to live in heaven with our Creator.

  16. All Things Are New All that we are finds a newness in Christ. Many will make resolutions to live and be different, but I hope you will choose to live in the power and newness that Jesus died to give you! God is making you new in Him.
