  3. INTRODUCTION Hair transplant or Hair restoration is a minimally invasive surgery that gives the permanent solution to hair loss problem. Globally, Hair transplant surgery has been chosen by numerous patients to regain their gorgeous hair and confidence.

  5. There should be no consumption of Alcoholic beverage for 72 hours of the surgical procedure. Alcohol makes the Blood thin and increases the chances of bleeding. • Vitamins, Aspirin or Ibuprofen or arthritis medications are prohibited for 72 hours post surgery as they increase bleeding by thinning the blood. Consult the doctor if you have any sort of Pain. • 3. Some antibiotics, anti-swelling and mild narcotic analgesics can be prescribed by your doctor. One should strictly stay away from alcohol and driving while taking these.

  6. You should avoid any form of exercise for 3 days and vigorous exercise for up to 1 week. This is a critical period and exercising may lead to bleeding, dislocation of graft and swelling. • Your upper body and Head should be kept elevated especially during sleeping. Mild bleeding may occur in some graft. This could be taken care by applying mild pressure and keeping the area moist. Do not disturb the surrounding grafts. • 6. Apply the ice pack to donor area for 10 min per hour for 3 days post surgery. DO NOT apply the Ice pack directly to the grafted area.

  7. Mild swelling will occur near forehead and nose. Do not panic as it will subside in 48 to 72 hours. Use the ice pack and relax. • Do not wash or disrupt graft for 24 hours. Post those for up to 5 days use a mild shampoo and thick conditioner very lightly on the hair. This will prevent scab formation. Ask your doctor for the steps. Apply very light pressure on graft if you are using a towel to dry your hair. In case you are using a Hairdryer, use it in the Cool setting. • 9. To accelerate the healing process, spray graftcyte 4 to 6 times per day for 1 week. This can also be used in the donor area.

  8. Swimming in water containing chlorine should be avoided for 7 days.
