Introduction to Meyya Meyyappan Meyya Meyyappan is an Indian-American scientist who has made remarkable contributions to the field of space science and technology. Born in Tamil Nadu, India, in 1956, Meyyappan received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Anna University in Chennai. Later, he moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies and earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
