Funding Sources Neighbourhood Renewal Fund: 100 000 Health of Coventry Group Multi-agency, strategic, measurable impact, preventative Priority neighbourhoods-narrow the gap Building a legacy Infant Mortality Vs cancer, CHD Priority 1 sub-group (under fives) consultation process New Deal for Communities: 100 000 Roll out in the NDC areas NDC local outcomes To reduce by at least 3% the gap in life expectancy between residents of the WEHM area and the Coventry average

Project Primary Aim To reduce infant mortality targeting the specific areas with some of the highest rates: Foleshill & Upper Stoke (NRF) Wood End, Henley Green, Manor Farm and Deedmore (NDC) Achieved by developing community midwifery using a risk assessment tool (renamed) Home visiting by community midwives and peer worker/s to pregnant women and their families Contributes to the reduction of infant mortality
