  2. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has issued a new travel advisory for the passengers and flights to counter the threat of coronavirus. In its recent statement, CAA has asked the airlines and passengers to strictly adhere to the SOPs if they really want to prevent the spread of this deadly disease. Here are some of the specific aspects that are underlined by the CAA.

  3. All Airplanes Are To Be Disinfected: The new advisory states that it is incumbent upon all the airlines to disinfect their planes before boarding the passengers. This process of disinfection can be carried out by using a spray. It will not only eliminate the germs of virus inside the airplanes, but it will also reduce the chances of spread.   4. Health Declaration Form: As per the new policy, all the passengers are obliged to fill up the health declaration forms. In addition, it has also asked all the companies to add the option of coronavirus in their health declaration forms. A person who misstates his medical condition would have to face the severe consequences. Furthermore, it has asked all the airline companies including PIA Pakistan International Airlines to provide the passengers and flight attendants with face masks so that their protection could be ensured.

  5. Basic Medical Test: It has also been added in the advisory that the basic medical test of all the passengers should be conducted at the airports. Passengers are also asked to go through the process of screening before entering the planes. Here, it is important to note that all the domestic and international flights had been stopped till April 4 to curtail the spread of coronavirus. However, it seems that the suspension would be extended due to the rising cases of coronavirus in the country. As of now, over 2000 people in Pakistan have been tested positive for the virus.
