His works have been exhibited around the world. In addition to the work the artist donated to his home town, many of his works are present in the great museums of the country

Ion Irimescu (1903 – 2005) was one of Romania's greatest sculptors. Until 1933 he participated at the Salon d'Automne and Salon du Printemps in Paris, receiving in 1932 the Honorary Mention of the Société des Artistes Français for his self-portrait. Corneliu Baba Portretul lui Ion Irimescu
Compoziţie cu trei figuri - graficã Located in Fãlticeni, "Ion Irimescu" Art Museum was founded in 1974 and it houses the largest author collection in Romania, and it represents the donation made by sculptor Ion Irimescu. The building, a historical monument, was built in the mid nineteenth century and had various destinations, until 1974 when it was assigned to the art museum.
The collection contains the artist’s work and it consists of over 300 sculptures and about 1,000 drawings. The sculptures exhibited inside the museum represent portraits, compositions, monument cut-outs, made in ronde-bosse or the relief technique.
His works have been exhibited around the world (Paris, Moscow, Belgrade, Budapest, Istanbul, Warsaw, Rome, Prague, Oslo, Tokyo, etc.).

His works are created in the style of his own temperament and vision and it combines the traditional indigenous ethos with the classical and modern art movements, blending into an original synthesis. The museum also includes the artist's personal library consisting of about 1500 volumes.
„Ion Irimescu” Art Museum is a gift for Fãlticeni townspeople given by the master but also for the art lovers around the world.
