  2. Sever Iustian is a Romanian painter, living in Paris since 1980, member of Grand Palais, the famous French Artists' Society. His father was from Transylvania, the north-western part of Romania, his mother was from Greece and he was born in 1948 in the south-eastern part of the country, Constanta. His paintings are featured in the Art Museum of Constanta as well as part of many private collections. I was lucky to have a Greek mother; she gave me the talent, logic, humor and a taste for finer things in life. I was a teacher in Romania for 10 years. I had 4-5 personal exhibitions and I am a member of the Romanian Fine Art Society, in Constanta. In France, I had 7 personal exhibitions, I was present 5 times in the Independent Artists Fair and I have received 3 international awards. Pictorul Sever Iustian, stabilit la Paris din 1980, membru al Grand Palais, societatea artiștilor francezi, este român născut în Constanța în 1948 din tată ardeleanși mamă grecoaică. „Am făcut facultatea la Cluj, căci taică-miu nu concepea că se poate învăța carte în altă parte. Norocul meu că mama era grecoaică 100% și mi-a transmis talent, umor, logică și chef de viață bună. Am fost 10 ani profesor în țară, am avut 4-5 expoziții personale în București, sunt membru al Uniunii Artiştilor Plastici filiala Constanța. În Franța am avut 7 expoziții personale, 5 participări la Salonul Independenților și am primit 3 premii internaționale.” Tablourile sale sunt prezente în multe colecții particulare și în Muzeul de Artă din Constanța. Are un stil optimist, liniştitor dar cu o compoziție solidă (ca o arhitectură grecească, îi place să spună). Tablourile lui sunt contemplative și misterioase din cauză că omul nu este reprezentat dar este prezent. Pictează în culori delicate, luminoase, uneori abia diferite de alb încât îmi lasă o senzație de impoderabilitate, de căldură difuză. (Alfred Faltiska)
