Michael Delich-Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Michael Delich was the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Waitt Media in Omaha from 1996 to 2005. During this time Waitt Radio, Waitt Television, Waitt Outdoor, Waitt Interactive, Gold Circle Entertainment, and Gold Circle Films were under auspices of Waitt Media headed by Delich. Most of the companies were sold and Mike bought into Waitt Outdoor at this time.

  1. Michael DelichPresident of Waitt Outdoor, LLC Michael Delich is the President of Waitt Outdoor, LLC, a company in the outdoor advertising business with its headquarters based in Omaha, Nebraska. Delich was born in Wyandotte, Michigan and spent most of his childhood in Minnesota. He graduated from high school in 1971 and joined the navy, where he stayed until 1975.

  2. Michael DelichExperienced Sales and Marketing Professional Michael Delich has over 40 years’ experience in sales and marketing having worked at various top managerial positions. Delich was born in Wyandotte, Michigan but spent a major part of his childhood in Minnesota. the family moved to Denver when Mike was 13 and stayed there for about a year and a half before finally moving to Omaha. The family’s decision to move to Omaha was because Michael’s father was offered a position as the President of Mutual of Omaha Fund Management Company.

  3. Michael DelichAfter Graduating From High School After graduating from high school, Michael Delich joined the navy as an electronics specialist in 1971. He served aboard the USS Kansas City for four years and left the navy in 1975 to build a career in sales and marketing. He started working as a manufacturer’s representative and held that job for several years before moving to RTI, a wholesale record, and electronics business. He did not stay long at RTI, and left the job and bought Meyerson Distributing, a wholesale electronics and appliance merchant. However, success as a business entrepreneur did not seem to favor Michael, and the company was eventually dissolved.

  4. Michael DelichStarted Working At American Gramaphone Records Following the dissolving of Meyerson Distributing, he started working at American Gramaphone Records. When Delich took over the position as Director at American Gramaphone Records, the company was doing just about $1 million in sales a year. Using his unique marketing and sales strategies, Delich enabled the company’s sales to grow at a phenomenal rate. He stayed with the company for eleven years and developed a unique business model that helped the company sell 25 million records. The success of Michael Delich’s business model helped American Gramaphone Records become one of the prominent independent record companies in the United States.
