Program Charter • Goals • The goals of this program were to simplify the Oracle Architecture through platform consolidation and application integration, and improve performance and supportability through an application and database upgrade. • Objectives • 1. Reduce the total cost of application ownership (Total Cost of Ownership) • 2. Resolve several outstanding application defects (Operational Stability) • 3. Maintain or improve system performance (Business Continuity) • Major Deliverables • Integrated Customer Logistics System Oracle ERP database and Global Oracle ERP database – process, data, organization structure. • Upgraded technology platform (application, middleware and database). • Merged Oracle ERP Planning and transaction databases.

Deliverable #2: Upgraded Technology Platform Oracle E-Business Suite 11i upgrade to release 11.5.10 • Oracle E-Business suite: Core technology foundation + Core modules in Order Management, Advanced Planning, Inventory, Manufacturing, Logistics, Shipping, Financials and Procurement + partial Sales suite. • Application extensions in Global ERP environment: Approximately 11000 technical objects were upgraded. • Integration of Customer Logistics System: integrated ~4200 technical objects; ~80 interfaces were reviewed and/or modified. • Boundary applications upgraded – Outerbay, Logical Apps, Taxware. Middleware upgrade TIBCO upgrade from 4.x to 5.2. Oracle Database upgrade Oracle database upgrade from 8i to 10gR2.

Deliverable #3: Merged Planning and Transaction Databases Old Architecture Planning Server OLTP Server Drivers for change: • Oracle Development recommended separate server for planning processes. • Reduction in database maintenance costs and release of 4 TB of disk space by eliminating 6 planning instances across various development, test and production environments. Oracle Corporation Engagement Highlights • Oracle Consulting participated in the Solutions, Testing, Deployment, Data and Transition tracks. • Oracle Consulting integrated with the Oracle On Demand team, who provide technical support for all of Agilent’s Oracle ERP test and production environments. This partnership was key to ensuring the development and test instances were upgraded and stable throughout the project. • Oracle Consulting actively participated in resolving product issues around functionality and performance, working closely with Oracle Product Management, Oracle Development and Oracle Support. This partnership extended across different levels of the project team and governance structure. • Examples of key wins from this tight partnership between Agilent and Oracle Corporation include: • Creative solutions to reduce the total time for applying database and application patches. • One off patches for Oracle Configurator issues “unique” to Agilent. • Incorporation of solutions requested by Agilent into Oracle Planning roll up patches. • Performance tuning of Oracle Quoting and Advanced Pricing. • Oracle Consulting collaborated effectively with Agilent’s other IT delivery partners on many technical deliverables for retrofitting applications and interfaces. • The bottom line – Oracle Corporation was a key partner in helping Agilent complete the database and applications upgrade on time!!

Results: Benefits Delivered • Improved Oracle ERP platform stability and supportability. • Eliminated multiple Oracle application instances resulting in significant cost savings. • Enabled single instance visibility of transactions for the Product Sales and Services business groups. • Enabled a consistent “look and feel” of customer facing documents for the Product Sales and Services business groups. • Integrated Services business and factories into a seamless supply chain. • Eliminated several customizations and adopted standard Oracle functionality. • Eliminated dual maintenance of master level item data. • Reduced sources of customer data.
