Opening Recommendations; EC 27/10/11 “encourage partnerships between cultural institutions and the private sector in order to create new ways of funding digitisation of cultural material and to stimulate innovative uses of the material, while ensuring that PPP for digitisation is fair and balanced – Annex 1. Comite te Sages; Cultural institutions can, however, ask private companies to pay for the commercial re-use of the material in order to recoup the digitisation costs and finance further digitisation – one off payment or revenue models. Business Plan – Strategic Plan: We will partner with PP players, learning and travel sectors to interpret and repurpose the content for their audience. Publishers, Creative industries…

It involves specifying the objective of PPP and identifying the internal and external factors that are favourable and unfavourable to achieve the objective of a successful partnership Strengths: internal characteristics of your organisation that give it an advantage over others Weaknesses (or Limitations): are characteristics that place the organisation at a disadvantage relative to others Opportunities: external chances to improve performance (e.g. make greater profits) in the environment Threats: external elements in the environment that could cause trouble for your organisation
