  3. Who are You and Why did you Choose this Workshop?

  4. Exercise and Mingle • Take the Common Core Card and some sticky notes as you explore the different project boards • Write down a couple of CCSS you feel the project meets and place on the chart next to the project. • Also if you see a project that looks interesting jot down some ideas you might want to use it with or questions you have about the implementation of this lesson. We will try to save time at the end to address these.

  5. Primary Research Project • Overview of Folder Management • Summary of Research and Comparative Vocabulary used in project • Quick tutorial of PhotoStory 3 or Movie Maker

  6. Open the Primary research folder • Create your own project folder on the desktop (This will be where you save all the pieces of your project.) • Choose a note template to use • Choose 2 animals to compare • Open the research sites document • Fill in your chosen template with info from research • Make a Storyboard or use the template in the folder. In each square write a sentence about your animals that uses comparative vocabulary • Open the images folder. Pick images that will match and save to your project folder • OpenPhotoStory 3 or Movie Maker and begin adding your images. • Add voice recording, titles and credits. • Share

Open the Intermediate research folder • Create your own project folder on the desktop • (This will be where you save all the pieces of your project.) • Open the note-taking template • Choose a famous person (Students would choose a biography to read at their level.) We have selected two you can choose from if you want. • Open the research sites document and explore these. • Fillin your note-taking template with info from research • Openthe images folder. Choose images for your project and save to your folder. • Use your assigned Glogster log in to begin working on your • AutobioGlog • Share
