Acts like wireless Ethernet. • 802.11g – up to 54 Mbps transmission in the 2.4 GHz band. • 802.11b --up to 11Mbps transmission in the 2.4 GHz band. • 802.11a -- up to 54 Mbps transmission in the 5 GHz band. • Bluetooth • Bluetooth refers to a short-range radio technology aimed at simplifying communications among Net devices and between devices and the Internet. Works over wireless air interfaces such as GSM, TDMA, and CDMA. Wi-Fi uses Radio Frequency (RF) and is becoming the wireless standard for public areas.
