Disparities in Medi-Cal Population with SED/SMI and Unmet Needs

This report highlights the disparities in the Medi-Cal population with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) and Severe Mental Illness (SMI), indicating unmet needs for mental health services. The study reveals significant disparities for certain ethnic groups, as well as specific populations such as the African American and Native American communities. The data also shows disparities in the non-Medi-Cal enrolled population living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and the working-poor population.
