Unit Summary • The high rate of inflation and sky rocketing prices of the daily life commodities, it becomes difficult for a low income family to cope with the different demands for survival, for example high rates of land, high cost of building materials, Finishing materials, and other accommodation accessories are very expensive. There are pre cast structures are available in the market in cheap rates and also fabricated houses with maximum facilitation are also lounge by some multinational companies. The students can get latest knowledge from webs. And can easily perform a positive role to facilitate the people with in their limited income sources .

  4. Although our students are perfect in skill yet they are poor in the selection of sites, scheme, proper design, and well planned facilities provide in a house. • The students involve in different visits of historical and newly built buildings in the vicinity and visit the web sites related to the architecture point of view in the world and get the recent trend of designing of buildings in the world. The students create their ideas and develop mined regarding planning of a residential building and their requirements.

  6. Grade LevelThe targeted grade level is Final years Civil Draftsman • Approximate Time Needed • Approximately Two weeks are required/ 300 minutes per week.

Unit FoundationTargeted Content Standards and Benchmarks • Comprehension and understanding of lesson contents. • Knowledge about the Requirements of residential Houses, Site selection, data collection, data Analysis, deduction of spaces, Flow diagram, Planning, Constructional Materials and its use, Designing phenomena, and current trends in the world and vicinity etc. • Must know different hazards in the building like earth quakes, Sudden fire due to short circuits in the building, soil investigation, bearing capacity of the earth, function of the building materials, Fire protection and other injuries due to collapse of the building, Environment effect on the building. Climate effects on the building, economical and durable building materials.

  8. Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes • After completing this project, our students will be able to • Prepare a Plane of a residential building. • Provide maximum facilities with limited sources in a house. • Provide economical residences. • Provide aesthetically design of a house.
