  1. Week Beginning Monday 6th January 2014 The Baptism of the Lord “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22

  2. Wednesday 8th January 2014 God said “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” What does this tell us about Jesus’ relationship with God? We are all children of God. Would God be “well pleased” with you? What does this quote mean to you: “When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Luke: 3:21-22

  3. Let us pray: Almighty and eternal God, when Christ was baptized in the river Jordan, the Holy Spirit came upon him and your voice declared him your beloved Son. Keep all who are reborn of water and the Spirit as children of adoption in whom you are well pleased. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.
