  2. F. Asking somebody to pass something at the table Mrs. Brown : Mrs. White, could you pass me the salt, please? Mrs. White : Certainly. Mrs. Brown : Thank you. Mrs. White : And the pepper? Mrs. Brown : No, thanks.

  3. G. Accepting an invitation ( ประโยคเชื้อเชิญ) Bob : How about dinner, this evening? Jane : I’d love to. Bob : Where can we meet? Jane : How about the World Trade Centre? Bob :OK. What time? Jane : Is six o’clock OK? Bob : Yes, that’s fine. See you. Jane : See you.

  4. H. Refusing an invitation (ประโยคคำเชิญ) Linda : Would you like to come to a concert? Rose : I’d like to. When is it? Linda : On Sunday evening. Rose : What a pity! I’m busy on Sunday. Linda : What are you doing on Sunday? Rose : I have to visit my uncle at the hospital. Linda : Really! Another time perhaps? Rose : Yes. Thanks anyway.

  8. L. Inquiring (ประโยคสอบถาม) David :What’s the matter? Why has the but stopped? Peter : There’s been an accident. David : Has there? Peter : Yes, there has.

  9. M. Borrowing money Mary : Can you lend me £10 ? Rose : Sorry, I can’t. I’ve only two pounds in my purse. Mary : I need some money now. Rose : Why don’t you ask Linda? Mary : Yes, it’s good idea.
