  3. Classroom Expectations Be & Do your BEST! • Be Respectful • Be Prepared • Be An Active Learner ( Responsibility/ Participation, etc.) • Integrity (Honesty Policy) Affective Education – • values based / social & emotional • solve problem, change (transform)

  4. Supplies • Textbook • Planner • Single subject spiral • Color pencils • Glue stick ( lots of it!) • Clear tape • DONATIONS  ( paper for copies, hand sanitizer, tissues) Thanks!!!!

Homework • Read daily from textbook ( assign chapter / pages) • Finish any thing not completed in class • Draft (OK in pencil) Final work in pen ( black or blue) or type • All pictures ( color) • Must demonstrate effort ( their best work) • Clean – neat • IF NOT DONE – I’ll provide a place & time during lunch ( Extended learning Time)

Homework Policy • Assignments are expected to be complete and turn in on time. • Homework is NOT optional • If assignments are late, but turn in the next day , the student can earn up to 50% of the grade. • After the second day, they will receive a 0. • Every 100 points of assignments ( approximate 10 assignments) = 1 grade

  7. Grades & Assessments • Based on points • Classwork & Homework • Interactive Notebooks • Quizzes • Pop Quizzes ( Surprise!) • Open Notebook • Regular • Tests • Projects • Essays • Presentations & Power Points • Grade chart on back page of notebook ( reports)
