  2. Who can benefit from this Policy? All person residing in India aged between 6 months and 70 years traveling outside India on Business or Holiday can take this insurance.

  3. Coverage When you travel abroad on Business or Holiday our Star Travel protect policy provides you for • Emergency medical expenses. • Repatriation in case of medical emergency. • Repatriation of mortal remains. • Any Dental emergency expenses following an Accident. • Compensation following Accidental injuries. • Cost of Loss of your checked in Baggage. • Reasonable expenses incurred for obtaining New Passport.

  4. Coverage (Contd.) • Flight Delay. • Missed Departure/Connection. • Expenses on Emergency purchases of consumables due to any delay in handing over your checked in baggage by the carrier for more than 12 hours. • Pecuniary Loss on cancellation of your trip due to any accidental bodily injury/death of a family member. • Any Legal Liability that may be fastened upon you, if you cause any bodily injury or property damage to any third party. • Hijack distress.

  5. Medical Examination If the medical history as revealed in the proposal is adverse and for persons proposed for insurance are above 60 years • ECG • Fasting & Postprandial Blood Sugar • Cholesterol Profile and • Urine Strip test plan reports are required to be submitted along with the proposal

  6. Plan Options • Travel World Wide Including USA and Canada • Travel World Wide Excluding USA and Canada

  7. Sum Insured Options The coverage is offered for four limits under both plans • USD 50,000 • USD 100,000 • USD 250,000 • USD 500,000

Plan Options • Plan A-1 : Sum Insured USD 50,000 (including USA and CANADA) • Plan A-2 : Sum Insured USD 50,000 (excluding USA and CANADA) • Plan B-1 : Sum Insured USD 100,000 (including USA and CANADA) • Plan B-2 : Sum Insured USD 100,000 (excluding USA and CANADA) • Plan C-1 : Sum Insured USD 250,000 (including USA and CANADA) • Plan C-2 : Sum Insured USD 250,000 (excluding USA and CANADA) • Plan D-1 : Sum Insured USD 500,000 (including USA and CANADA) • Plan D-2 : Sum Insured USD 500,000 (excluding USA and CANADA)

  9. Premium Rating : Plan A-1 Premium figures are in Rupees and inclusive of S.Tax

  25. Extension of Trip • The policy can be extended on payment of Additional premium and declaration of good health by the insured. • Maximum number of permissible extensions is two. • Request for extension should be given well before expiry of the policy.

  26. Major Exclusions • Loss directly or indirectly occasioned by happening through or in consequence of • Travel against Medical Advice • Any Pre existing condition • With the intention of receiving medical treatment • Insured being aware of circumstances that could reasonable be expected to give rise to a claim • Winter Sports or the Use of Dry ski slopes • Manual work of any kind, etc

Major Exclusions (Contd.) • Claims arising from pregnancy • Claims increased by the Insured’s own act or omission • Consequential Loss • Claims relating to Bankruptcy or Liquidation • Congenital anomalies or any other complications or conditions arising there from • Professional or Organised Sports, rock Climbing or mountaineering, racing speeds or endurance tests, hazardous pursuit or occupation or air travel (other than as a passenger) and similar activities.
