  3. What is DECA? • DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. • Co-curricular programs integrate into classroom instruction, which applies learning in the context of business

Student Leaders of DECA • Chapter Officers • Plan events for the chapter • Maintain communication with all members • Keep records, finances, attendance, and participation in order • State Officers • Maintain state-wide leadership and communication • Act as a liaison between state association and chapters • Record attendance and participation in state activities • Act as a role model for members of MA DECA • International Officers • Advisor to National Association • Work with MA DECA and chapters to recruit members • Promote national programs • Lead the International Career Development Conference • Assist or participate in state conferences whenever possible • Act as an outstanding leader
