It was found in his attic and he wasn't sure what to do with it. When the police arrived, the man told them that his grandfather had served in the war, and the gun had been in his family for generations. He wanted to make sure it was handed over to the authorities and not end up in the wrong hands. The police were thrilled to receive such a rare find. Not only was the weapon a valuable piece of history, it was also in excellent condition.
