Building Relationships • • Often times you will find that landlords and tenants often have similar goals. • • Building relationships is a key part in achieving these goals. • • You want to establish a relationship of trust between yourself, your clients and landlords. • • Remind landlords that renting to any tenant is a risk and it is no different with your client. The difference is that your program helps mitigate risk by careful screening and providing support to the clients.

  3. Market the program • One of the best things you can do is market the program. Develop a pool of landlords/management companies who are willing to rent to your clients. • • Agency/Program Brochures • • Handout and Fact Sheets • • Business Cards • • Client Success Stories • • Testimonial letters from other landlords

  4. Networking • • Apartment & Home Owners • • Rental Housing Associations • • Donors • • Local Businesses • • Friends and Relatives • • Local Chamber of Commerce • • Faith Based Organizations
