Editing Sound and a Finished Sequence Workshop 5
Editing sound and a finished sequence. • In this session we used all of the prior skills we had learnt in the editing suite to piece together a seamless piece of work. • We started by editing together our sequences using all the tips such as cutting to another shot during movement, adding as many interesting angles as possible and so on...then after we had completed this we went on the editing the sound. • When it came to editing sound, we had two lines of recording, this is because there are two input plugs for the microphone in the camera, therefor to get a crisp sound and not get confused we delete the second input and line up our sounds to our footage. • It’s a really simple process much like the editing of footage you drag and drop to the places you want the sound, move it around to match up with different shots and you are done. It's important to pay attention to how well in time the sound is if you're cutting to another shot, for example if you have a case slamming shut and you cut to another angle, you need to make sure that the sound is on time.
