  2. The 2014 On-Line Application will be ready for updates beginning March 3rd! Application Due Dates • April 11th – if ordering USDA Foods (commodities) and/or requesting an advance payment • May 16th –  if NOT ordering USDA Foods and/or requesting an advance payment • SFSP Contract information and Internet Application manual can be found at: http://fns.dpi.wi.gov/fns_market2

  4. Meal Service Requirements SFSP Breakfast: Only three food components are required for a reimbursable meal: • One serving of fruit/vegetable • One serving of grain/bread • One serving of fluid milk • Four different food items must be offered if the sponsor elects to use OVS. • A child must take three of the four food items and may only decline one food item. • The fourth food item can be a fruit/vegetable, grain/bread, or meat/meat alternate.

  5. Meal Service Requirements Lunch or Supper: Five food items must be offered: • One serving of meat/meat alternate • Two different servings of fruit/vegetable • One serving of grain/bread • One serving of fluid milk • A child must take three of the five food items and may only decline two food items to meet OVS requirements. Snack: Snack requirements remain unchanged. SFSP Snacks must include 2 of the 4 components.

  6. Meal Service Requirements Children must eat all components of the meal onsite except: • One fruit, vegetable or grain item.

  7. Demonstration Project • Non-Congregate Feeding for Outdoor Summer Feeding Sites Experiencing Excessive Heat extended for Summer 2014. • More information and how to request to participate can be found on our website: www.wisummerfood.org.
