  2. What is the Consortium (CID)? • A network of representatives of organizations sharing a common vision • A group of people who share information and work together to affect policy change • A collaborative approach to planning with, for, and on behalf of people with disabilities

  3. Mission Statement The mission of the Consortium for Idahoans with Disabilities is to protect, promote, and advance the rights and interests of people with disabilities in Idaho in a manner consistent with the following principles:

Guiding Principles • CID will promote and protect the rights of people with disabilities to meaningful personal choice and self-determination • CID will promote, when consistent with personal choice, the right to independence and self-sufficiency for people with disabilities • CID will promote, when consistent with personal choice, the right to inclusive, adapted, accessible services, residences, education and employment for people with disabilities.
