  1. Process Evaluation Task Conclusion Introduction Aye aye, Captain! Today ye will decide if ye are pirate enough to go on a dangerous voyage. Have ye ever wondered if there really were pirates? Or were they just characters in stories? Grab ye eye patch, we “ARRRGH” going on a pirate adventure!

Process Evaluation Task Conclusion Introduction Today you will be exploring the web in order to find some basic knowledge of pirate terms and specific pirates. Through research, you will study about different pirates, the ships they used, and their weapons. You will be turning in 4 things: Research for the pirate you choose. Pirate flag on a piece of construction paper. 3 Journals of your adventures as a pirate. Rubric where you grade yourself on how you think you did. Follow the links and answer the following questions. Have fun!

Process Evaluation Task Conclusion Task 1 Introduction Task 2 Task 3 • TASK 1: Research • Look at all pirate links below and decide which pirate to choose for your task. • Then , grab a piece of paper and collect the information needed below. • Times/Place - when he/she lived and where he/she lived. • Character traits - give adjectives that explain him/her. Using construction paper, create your own Jolly Roger. You must have at least 3 different images on your flag. You should include a written explanation of each image and why it was chosen. You are trying to answer the question: What does this image say about me as a pirate?

Your entries should look like each other, so plan together what you're both going to write about. • The date and time • Location of ship (at sea, port, near land..) • Plans for the day or future • Weather conditions • What meals you had for the day • Things you've noticed along your voyage.
