What is the 1915 Project About? • No ‘Service records’ for WW1 • There is no single list of mariners for WW1 • BT 99 archive was broken up and dispersed • We have 10% of the records in BT 99 • National Maritime Museum has 90% of years ending in 5 • All of the records for 1915 held by NMM and TNA

  3. What do the records consist of? • TNA = 98 boxes • NMM = 678 boxes • Approx 36,000 Crew Lists • Approx 1,500,000 individual names

  4. The Work So Far • Work with the NMM • Work with CLIP • Photograph collection • Set up dedicated website • Recruit volunteers • Create Record Series

  5. What we have Achieved • Records in BT 400 • Records in BT 99 Approximately • ¼ of boxes are currently allocated to volunteers

  6. The Results • BT 99/3100 List 11
