AcqDemo Transition Issues • Pay Band Level Issues with Conversion Process: Step 1 - Conversion out of AcqDemo to GS (may be same or higher grade than prior to demo) using DoD AcqDemo conversion out rules (based upon current salary) Step 2 – What is the Pay Band Level of position in NSPS? (different broad bands and pay bands than AcqDemo) Classification process will be different from DoD AcqDemo, similar to Factor Evaluation System. Step 3 – Conversion into the NSPS (may be an issue when conversion out grade is higher than grade(s) contained in new pay band level. Additional salary increases could exacerbate this issue. Example: Pre-AcqDemo implementation GS-14 step 10  Converted to NH-IV in AcqDemo  Conversion out of AcqDemo is GS-15  Duties classified in NSPS in band w/GS-14 top  If pay exceeds maximum of pay band level  Pay Retention for 2yrs
