  2. What sector of the market does IKEA cater to? (Part 1) • Well, this is actually quite hard…. • The real answer is that IKEA caters to the furniture side of the market, especially for those wood and innovation lovers. • The reason for us saying this is because if you go to IKEA, majority of the things they sell there is furniture, especially those with innovation.

  3. What sector of the market does IKEA cater to? (Part 2) • Now, about the wood lovers part… • The materials the designers of IKEA products use is mainly wood. • Because wood is sturdy and lasts long, that must be the main reason why the designers chose it as the main material. • The sofa they make is very sturdy as well • From the picture besides. You should not be able to see the words, but this is what they said:” the sofa has been ‘bullied’ since 1999. (and it does not cost $149!)

The two innovative products (Part 1) • This is a kitchen timer. • It has a weird and cool shape. • It can be treated like a toy and an kitchen timer at the same time. • One example of it’s use is to time how long you can use the computer, like for an hour. Time timer will ring when the time is up (isn’t that new!).

  6. Information on the foldable table… • The table is at first a normal rectangular table. • You pull accordingly to the arrows shown. • You get a folded part of wood. • You unfold the wood and… • WOW! You have just extended the table!

  7. Last but not least… • Hamster!!! Just kidding…

  8. What is lacking in IKEA????? • The designers create the price tag even before the product is even created. • IKEA does not have a free delivery system. • IKEA has a famous D.I.Y. history, because of the work we need to do just to assemble it. Even if it is a very bulky and complicated item.
