Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) • New Sept 2014 (formerly APLE) • Leads on strategy and policy related to L&T, including Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) • Supports professional development of all staff engaged in teaching and supporting learning • Promotes innovative, inspiring, supportive (and enjoyable) approaches to L& T across UEL • Enables outstanding teaching that supports retention, progression, achievement & employability.

Careers and Student Employability CaSE (formerly the Employability and Enterprise Team, EET) provides: • professional careers support from qualified careers consultants • a range of qualitative transformational opportunities to develop employability skills through employer focussed interventions

TransformationalOpportunities • Access to work experience opportunities • Professional mentoring support • Volunteering opportunities • Practical workshops designed to facilitate the development of jobseeking and employability skills • Graduate vacancies • Employer engagement activities e.g. A Day in the Life; networking events • Research opportunities • Graduate Skills Academy

Student Support Centres • New ‘One Stop Shop’ Student Centres (Jan 15) at Docklands & Stratford • Full range of services include helpdesk, telephone service & webmail facility  • Trained front-line staff to help students with general queries, provide support and guidance immediately, & escalate to the relevant specialised area if required.
