The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon take a decision on hosting the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 games at their special general meeting which will take place on May 29. Apart from IPL, a call will be taken about the entire domestic cricket schedule for 2021-22 as well.<br>Meanwhile, the franchises havenu2019t got any information yet although they have been told that they will get to know about all these only after the meeting on May 29.

Decision on IPL's Remaining Games to take place on May 29 The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon take a decision on hosting the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 games at their special general meeting which will take place on May 29. Apart from IPL, a call will be taken about the entire domestic cricket schedule for 2021-22 as well. Meanwhile, the franchises haven’t got any information yet although they have been told that they will get to know about all these only after the meeting on May 29. Image Source by twitter “As of now, nothing has been finalised (regarding IPL),” a top BCCI office-bearer told. “There is nothing concrete yet. But we are aware that the Board is likely decide the matter on May 29 and may convey to us after that,” a franchise official shared.

It is also noteworthy that, there are 31 games left in the 2021 edition of the India Premier League (IPL) which got postponed due to Covid-19 cases in the bio-secure bubble after the completion of 29 matches as well. While, no official confirmation has come so far from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), UAE, where the last edition of the league was held, is the frontrunner to host the rest of the matches as well. Image Source by twitter While the window is likely to be the month-long gap between the end of India’s Test series in England on September 14 and the beginning of the T20 World Cup in mid-October, the mega event too is expected to play in the amid the crunch time of Covid-19 cases in India. Jay Shah, secretary of BCCI, had also released a note to all state associations, calling them for a special general meeting. “Notice is hereby given for a Special General Meeting of the BCCI which will be held on May 29, 2021 virtually to transact the following business: Discussion on the upcoming cricket season in view of the pandemic situation prevailing in India,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah had said in a note addressed to the state cricket associations.
